A quick guide to potty training your puppy
House training a tiny, living, breathing thing can be extremely frustrating! Just ask your mother! You could be trying for days, weeks and even months to potty train your puppy and it looks like he or she doesn’t seem to get it, or maybe they just seem disinterested altogether.
Every little puppy presents us with a different challenge as they grow older, but there are easier solutions to training them the way we want. Though it may seem important to implode all techniques at once on an unsuspecting puppy, patience is the ultimate key to maintaining a loving relationship between you and your little puppy.
It is normal for puppies in Dubai, to seem a little disinterested in training methods. Since they are in a rapid growing stage, they tend to consume more food and burn up all the energy (which explains why they are always so naughty) . Until a few months, puppies do not develop bladder control, which is why they cannot “hold it in” like fully grown adult dogs.
Puppies need a few months to develop their habits and get used to the habitat that they live in. the ability to not soil the house is something that will have to be introduced gradually so that they understand the need to leave or go outside to get the job done. Successful in-house training will depend on how you supervise the pup and ensure you take him or her to the right spot.
As per research, puppies are not house trained until they are around 6 months old. For particular breeds, this maybe even longer than 6 months. Even though while the puppy is in progress there could be “accidents” for reasons you can’t explain. It is always best to remain calm and not punish the pup for the mistake but to simply continue to the techniques of training so that you build confidence in yourself and the puppy. Remember – success is only a few weeks away once you focus on the technique!.
